Thanksgiving, part 3 - the Macy's Parade

The night before Thanksgiving, we tried to go see them blow up the parade balloons. We were a little late getting Central Park but everyone else wasn't - it was PACKED. What a bummer. As Julia said, "Daddy, I can't see Snoopy!"

When it came time for Thanksgiving day - we were lucky that NYC is pretty easy to get around, and that Thea Chris could watch Julia and Grace (since it was a little too col for them). Eventually, it did warm up some - especially in the sun.
In any case, we hustled to find a good spot on the upper West Side before the really big crowds showed up. When the parade started, it was floats for as far the eye could see! Sophia had a great view - she even got to see Snoopy!
I'm not sure who had more fun - Sophia or Mommy - they were both smiling so much. It really was a great time!

Thanksgiving, part 2

From Annapolis, we trekked through northern Maryland and New Jersey. Eventually, we reached New York City. (I'm still amazed that Thea Chris does this jaunt every few days between the two - just the time, not to mention the tolls.)

Here are 2 of the monkeys jumping on Thea's bed in NYC:

And another one playing games with the cousins:

While we did get to see some of the NJ family, but we didn't get to see cousin Felix. (Although technically he and Randall now live in Pennsylvania, but we still consider them part of the NJ Posse.)

The Thanksgiving Trek, part 1

We had an adventurous Thanksgiving, logging roughly 1,200mi each way. We trekked across the Smokey Mountains, through Virginia, over to Annapolis, MD. We visited Thea Chris for a couple days, doing a little sightseeing around Annapolis: the Severn River harbor and the Chesapeake Bay, the U.S. Naval Academy, etc.

We were even lucky enough that Thea Chris watched the girls for a little while so that Mommy and Daddy could sneak out for a traditional Chesapeake Bay dinner. We went to the famed Cantler's Riverside Inn for steamed Maryland blue crabs! Wow were they good!

Movember is Over

Thanks to all of you that helped me reach my goal!!!

Here's one of the final pics of the "mo." And yes, I shaved it.
